Legs, Abs and Chest Exercises You Can Do at Home

No equipment? No problem. The Personal Training Institute offers tips on how to keep fit at home as well as at the gym.

The Personal Training Institute (PTI) opened its doors to the Encino community for the first time on Friday at its ribbon-cutting event.

This institute tailors a personal program of exercise and nutrition to the client.

"I wanted to help people. I was looking for something that I could invest in that would bring quality of life to my clients and this was one of the few franchises that I found that combined both the nutrition part and the physical training of my clients," said Joe Hlavenka, PTI owner and president.

The PTI facility is small, but staff members say it feels more intimate than larger gyms. The program allows clients to get more of a one-on-one response with a trainer and nutritionist to meet their goals.

Watch the accompanying video for tips on how to keep fit at home and at the gym. The trainers at PTI show us how to do proper sit ups, squats and push ups.
