The outgoing members were thanked as new members took their seats for the first time.

The newly elected and re-elected members of the Encino Neighborhood Council met for the first time Wednesday evening since the elections were held in September.

The outgoing members, including president Louis Krokover, were thanked by Assemblyman Bob Blumenfield for their service. He then adminstered the oath of office to the new members.

The first piece of business was to elect the new president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and sargeant-at-arms.

The new board members are Glenn Bailey (president), Todd Rubinstein (vice president), Ken Silk (secretary), John Arnstein (treasurer) and Kathy Moghimi-Paterson (sargeant-at-arms), with a motion being passed in favor of Sherman Gamson being the alternate secretary.

The nominations, speeches and votes were carried out with a good deal of humor and bonhomie, with all the new members agreeing that working together as a team to serve the community would be top of the agenda in the months to follow.
