Two new vice-presidents, an executive secretary and treasurer are also elected.

The new Tarzana Neighborhood Council board members met Tuesday evening for the first time since and were sworn in by Assemblyman Bob Blumenfield.

State Senator Fran Pavley welcomed the new board, as did a representative from Rep. Brad Sherman's office and Senior Lead Officer Rob Trulik from the West Valley Division of the LAPD.

The first item on the agenda was for the board to elect a new president, first vice president, second vice president, executive secretary and treasurer.

The current president, Leonard Shaffer, was nominated but said that he did not wish to stand for re-election. Kathy Delle Donne was then elected unanimously by the board to be the new president. Delle Done said she was "ready and full of new ideas." She nominated Shaffer to be the new first vice president. He accepted and the board voted him into the new position.

Kevin Taylor of Empower LA thanked Shaffer for his years of service, and said he was "an important fixture in this community and the neighborhood council community."
