Weekend Planner: An Outdoor Concert, Landscaping Exhibit and Health Fair

Activities and events for all ages.

It’s Wednesday, and you have no idea what you’ll do for the weekend ahead. Patch is coming to the rescue.

Some of the events listed below are for the whole family, and some of are just for you. Check our picks for local activities, new bars, restaurants and shops to explore.

When/Where: Saturday,  9 a.m - 5 p.m., and Sunday, 9  a.m. - 4 p.m. Sepulveda Garden Center, 16633 Magnolia Blvd., Encino.

Why Go: Learn how landscaping with drought-tolerant plants can save money and water. Plants for sale, workshops, raffle, silent auction, fun activities for kids.

Vintage Sale

When/Where: Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. The American Cancer Society Burbank Discovery Store, 500 N. Victory Blvd., Burbank.

When/Where: Saturday; walk: 9 a.m. - 11 a.m (register at 8 a.m.); fair: 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., North Hollywood Park (corner of Magnolia Boulevard and Tujunga Avenue).

Why Go: Participate in fun fitness/sports activities, taste healthy food and share a fun day with the family. 

Pricing: Walkathon registration fee: adults, $20; kids, $10.

Concerts on the Green

When/Where: Every Sunday through Aug. 28. This Sunday's concert starts at 6 p.m. Warner Center Park, Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Califa Street, Woodland Hills.

Why Go: Bring a picnic or buy dinner at the food court, and enjoy a free outdoor concert.

Pricing: Free.

 All American Show Choir Super Show

When/Where: Saturday,  7 p.m. Starlight Bowl, 1249 Lockheed View Dr., Burbank.

Why Go: It's  a Burbank Centennial Celebration, featuring two of the nation's most acclaimed high school show choirs from Burbank and Burroughs.

Pricing: $12-$25.
