Welcome to Encino Patch, your one stop shop for news and information about Encino.

You may have already checked out the 160 Patch sites now operating across the country. We're in 11 states so far, and Patch aims to have 500 sites launched by the end of the year.

So what is Patch? Patch is community journalism. Every day, I and my team of journalists will bring you the information you need.

First, we have a townwide calendar of events, so you can find out what's going on in Encino during the week or on the weekends. We also feature coverage of education, government, police and fire, business and sports. 

We strive for quality content, produced by professionals, and we won't accept anything less.

Now on to our directory. Need to find a restaurant for tonight? Just look under food & dining. We have listings for every school, park and government office, too, so you can find the numbers and hours for locations quickly and easily.

I'm Lauren Rosenblum, the Local Editor of Encino Patch. I was born and raised in Arizona, and moved to California to attend the University of Southern California.  I just graduated from USC with a bachelor's degree in journalism and a minor in marketing. I'll be overseeing all of the content that goes on this site and will work hard to tell you about the important issues facing Encino.  But hey, I'm new around here.  Tell me what you think.
