San Fernando Valley Historical Society ~ Southern California Eats

San Fernando ValleyHistorical Society Dishes Up “Southern California Eats”

On Thursday, June 23 you will embark on a road trip to off-the-beaten-track Route 66 landmarks, futuristic Googie coffee shops, exotic Polynesian paradises, 50s bowling alley, snack bars, roadside cafes, BBQs, as well as fine dining destinations.

Adriene Biondo and John Eng take us on a photo tour that captures the flavor and character of Southern California's most unique eating establishments.  Tour legends like Hollywood's Formosa Cafe, the Apple Pan, Clifton's Cafeteria, and Phillippe's French Dip in Downtown L.A.  Not to mention San Fernando Valley favorites like Bob's Big Boy drive-in in Toluca Lake, Dr. Hogly Wogly's Tyler Texas BBQ, and The Bear Pit.  Enjoy photo excursions to historic landmarks like the last remaining winery/restaurant in Los Angeles, a desert outpost cafe, a Polynesian eatery with over 100 fish tanks, and a giant chocolate donut you can drive through.  Where else but in Southern California?
