Andy is a nanotechnology chemist who loves Bromeliad plants. After growing up in Ohio, he studied and received his Master’s degree at Washington State University in
Seattle. Currently living in San Diego he is Pres. of the San Diego Bromeliad Society and Pres. of the Bromeliad Study Group of Balboa Park. Andy admits to being somewhat of a plant geek; I say he is truly focused. Over the past few years he has been exploring Mexico looking for and studying Hechtias and Tillandsias. He has covered over 14,000 miles driving throughout the country. He has recently started his own tour company to explore
the cultural and botanical diversity of Mexico and just recently returned from a week exploring the deserts and mountains of Oaxaca.
