Big Boy's Back With New Folks In Charge

They'll be opening the doors on Wednesday.

All the cool Cats and Kitties have been finding the doors to Bob's Big Boy locked lately.

What to do when jonesing for an Original Double-Decker? Or a Chili Size? Or some Hot Fudge Ice Cream Cake?

Well, the chain launched in Glendale in 1936 with the jingle generated from the sale of a DeSoto Roadster, is reopening under new management Wednesday at 8876 Corbin Ave., Northridge. According to a sign in the window, the folks who run the Burbank Bob's are taking over, spiffing up the place, and getting ready to unlock the doors.

Isn't that purrrrrfect?

Sweet. Was never a big fan of the Bob's in Northiridge. The one in Burbank is so much better. I hope they turn things around.

I used to love going to big Boys with my dad growing up. Tried the one in Northridge once... just once. I will try it again after the new owners open up.

Maybe they can hire NICE employees who are happy to have a job. Customer service makes a difference, and I had found theirs lacking.

Agree with both of you. I will give it another shot after the new opening. Hopefully someone that works at Bob's will read this.

Even though the food was pretty much the same, it's hard to make the Northridge Bob's feel like the one in Burbank that has been there forEVER. The smaller indoor space, that is laid out like a Burger King or some other fastfood place, didn't ever feel "right" (or "Bob's") Wonder what they're going to do to it to make it different now? And we LOVE Bob's,....wouldn't want to see it go :(
