Gas Prices Continue to Drop

As prices fall, do you know the cheapest places in Encino to fill your tank?

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline fell in Los Angeles County Thursday for the 18th consecutive day, dropping seven-tenths of a cent to $3.875, according to City News Service.

The average price is 5.6 cents less than it was a week ago, but 6.1 cents more than a month ago and 89.9 cents more than at this time last year, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

"We typically see price decreases in the fall because of lower demand and because we switch over to the winter gasoline formula, which is less expensive to make,'' Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California told City News Service.
