Gas Prices Fall For 20th Straight Day

The average price is 4.5 cents less than a week ago.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County declined today for the 20th consecutive day and 24th time in the past 25 days, dropping six-tenths of a cent to $4.246, its lowest amount since Feb. 24.

The average price is 4.5 cents less than a week ago and 15.3 cents lower than one month ago. But it is 4.2 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has decreased 14 cents over the past 25 days, including six-tenths of a cent on Saturday.

The Orange County average price fell today for the 20th consecutive day and 26th time in 27 days, decreasing a half-cent to $4.219, 5.1 cents less than a week ago and 16.1 cents lower than one month ago but 3.1 cents more than one year ago.

The Orange County average price has decreased 15.2 cents over the past 27 days, including eight-tenths of a cent on Saturday.
