This week we visited local shoe-repair businesses to compare prices.

Keeping people looking well-heeled during tough economic times is apparently paying off for shoe-repair businesses.

Art Barsegyan, owner of Shoe Fix in Encino, said, “As soon as the economy went down my business went up. People don’t want to spend money to buy shoes, they want them repaired.”

Encino Patch went to five nearby shoe-repair companies to find the best deals on footwear repairs. These businesses also provide purse, luggage and belt repairs.
