March Madness Bar Specials

As we look ahead to the Final Four, Patch lists four places in Encino to watch NCAA basketball.

Some of Ventura Boulevard's most popular restaurants and bars are tuning into this year's NCAA Tournament. From El Mariachi to Springbok, here are our final four picks:

  1. El Mariachi Mexican Grill and Sports Cantina, 15627 Ventura Blvd., will be screening all of the March Madness games from now until the national championship on April 4. El Mariachi is a new restaurant and sports bar owned and operated by the Lopez family, that's bringing fresh, authentic, homestyle Mexican food to Ventura Boulevard. Don't miss happy hour Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  2. , 15927 Ventura Blvd., is keeping it casual with a tropical atmosphere and American food. Kick back during the games while enjoying happy hour prices weekdays from 4 pm. to 7 p.m. That means chips and salsa on the house, half-off all appetizers and $1 off all booze, beer and wine.
  3. Springbok Bar & Grill, 16153 Victory Blvd., is a South African-inspired sports bar that usually focuses on rugby, cricket and soccer. They host Tequila Fridays with half off all tequila from 9 p.m. until close. During March Madness, the basketball games will be televised.
  4. , 17240 Ventura Blvd., serves burgers, baby-back ribs, hot homestyle fries and, of course, chili while you watch the games. You can also enjoy happy hour specials on appetizers and drinks from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays.
