Tri-Tip: Tasty Meat, Bargain Price

Because Memorial Day kicks off grill season!

Memorial Day seems to be the unofficial start to summer. And summer means outdoor entertaining and barbecue gatherings.

A popular food item choice among grillers is tri-tip, which is a cut of beef that sits at the bottom of the sirloin. Not only does it have a great flavor, but also tends to be lower in fat than most other cuts, so it's a good lean cut. We asked several local grocery stores how much they are selling this popular meat item for.
