What Should Go Below Encino's Bed Bath & Beyond?

A bookstore? A cafe? Let us know what you think!

The Courtyard Shops of Encino Shopping Center is one of the best known locations in the neighborhood. Aside from being the home of many businesses, including Bed Bath & Beyond, it was also famously used as a key filming location for the popular 2005 movie The 40-Year-Old Virgin.

But there's been a key vacancy at the shopping center, which is located at 17401 Ventura Blvd. After AT&T closed its store, which was right below Bed Bath & Beyond, it has remained vacant. According to Rob Quieros, manager of  next-door Western Bagel, the shop has been closed for about a year and a half.

"It's definitely affected business here," Quieros said. "A lot of the employees at the store used to come here every day for lunch."
