Where Can You Find the Cheapest Gas in Encino and Tarzana?

As prices drop in the Southland, where will you fill your tank?

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County decreased Friday for the 38th consecutive day, falling 1.6 cents to $3.856, its lowest amount since Aug. 2.

The average price has decreased 84.9 cents over the past 38 days, including 1.4 cents on Thursday, after rising 50.4 cents over the previous seven days and reaching a record high of $4.705 on Oct. 9, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 8.4 cents less than one week ago and 77.7 cents lower than one month ago, but 2.8 cents more than one year ago.

The streak of dropping prices is the longest since a 57-day streak that ended July 13.
