I-405 Set to Close Tuesday Night; Detour to Sepulveda Boulevard

The southbound I-405 freeway lanes will be closed Tuesday from Ventura Boulevard to Getty Center Drive.

  • This is a release from Ron Macias, Community Relations Officer for the I-405 Sepulveda Pass Improvements Project.

Due to the inclement weather this past Friday night, the I-405 Sepulveda Pass Improvements Project work crew could not finish the freeway lane re-striping work near the Skirball Bridge.

This work activity is being re-scheduled for Tuesday night. A full directional southbound freeway closure is required for this operation from Ventura Boulevard to Getty Center Drive.

Sepulveda Boulevard will be available as a detour and the Skirball Bridge will remain open throughout the night. Ramps may close as early 7 p.m. and some freeway lanes will start to close at 10 p.m. The full southbound freeway closure will be in effect from midnight to 5 a.m.
