The contractor is scheduled to resume closures near the Mulholland Bridge in order to support the development of a construction work zone at the center of the freeway. A bridge falsework structure will be erected temporarily to support the reconstruction of the Mulholland Bridge. The temporary widening of both directions of the freeway near the Mulholland Bridge will entail roadway repaving work and the re-striping of freeway lanes.

This work will require a full southbound freeway closure from the 101 Freeway to the Getty Center Drive ramp, on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011.

The full southbound freeway closure will occur during the late night hours, weather permitting. Ramps within the freeway closure area may begin to close as early as 7 p.m., and freeway lanes will begin to close as early as 10 p.m., leading to the full directional freeway closure between midnight and 5 a.m.

Detour maps are available at metro.net/405. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
