Good bye October, hello November! Welcome the new month with the gift of literacy and the winner of the pumpkin carving contest.
- Before we all bid farewell to October, glance over a recap of last week. For any headlines you may have missed recently on Encino Patch, here's your week in review.

- Do you have any literature to spare? The Encino Barnes & Noble will be hosting a Holiday Book Drive today to collect as many books possible to give to children nation wide. This event will benefit the Reading to Kids program.
- Due to an all day in-service at the Saint Cyril of Jerusalem School there will be no classes today.
- Finally, after deliberation, the winner of the Patch Pumpkin Carving contest has been selected. Congratulations to Daniel and Jonathan Hamlin!
