In the Business Community

There’s a this morning at 7:15 a.m. at the Braemar Country Club. It’s $30 for members and $35 for non-members.

Volunteers at the Library

The brings adult volunteers and children together at Los Angeles public libraries to share the love of reading. GAB volunteers will be available to read with children at the Encino Tarzana Library from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. today. The library is located at 18231 Ventura Blvd.

LADWP Explains Rate Adjustments

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) has been holding a series of community meetings to receive input on the 2011 Water and Power Rates Process. Only July 20, there will be a summary session Downtown from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the LADWP Headquarters, A-Level, 111 N. Hope St. in Los Angeles. Runyon Canyon to Close Early

, a popular spot for viewing Fourth of July fireworks, will close at 5 p.m. during July 1-4.  Police and park rangers are to be on hand during the early-closure period to ensure compliance and patrol the area.
