  2.  If you haven't had a chance to see San Fernando Valley Art Club’s 2011 Spring Juried Art Show, now is the time! The show runs until June 11 at the Lankershim Arts Center in North Hollywood.

  • When the City Council voted unanimously May 18 to pass a $6.9 billion budget, it included a 10-percent, or $4,500 reduction to the budgets of each of the city's neighborhood councils. Before the vote, the Encino Neighborhood Council had a budget of $45,000, which they use to award funds to local schools, pay for website construction, mailers, food for meetings, and more.
