A New Way to Help Save Los Encinos State Historic Park

The park recently received $150,000 from an anonymous donor, but still needs funds to keep its doors open.

still needs help to prevent it from closing this year. Those involved with raising funds have set up a new location on the California State Parks Foundation website to accept donations.

The Park is one of Earlier in January, , but the park still needs to find funding for an additional two years of operating costs.

This is so important. If the State closes the park, it will probably get sold and, voila, a developer will buy the land and, voila voila, another commercial property will rear its head and give us another tasteless "valley" shopping center. The neighborhood needs to save it; just like we saved the corner of Vanalden and Ventura from becoming another storage facility! For those in the dark, that corner became a lovely community center instead. Let's go for it and donate!!!
