Here's what's happening at the Encino-Tarzana Library this month.

Tuesday June 12, 4:00-5:00 p.m: Summer Reading Club fun for children! Amazing Magic with Tony Daniels.

Thursday June 14, 4:00-5:00 p.m: Summer Reading Club for Teens and The Art of Henna. Co-sponsored by Friends of the Library.

Tues. June 19, 4:00-5:00 p.m: Summer Reading Club fun for kids and "A Cowboy's Dream" with Ken Frawley. Songs, stories, puppets and

trick roping! Co-sponsored by Friends of the Library.

Weds. June 20, 1:00-2:30 p.m: Friends of Library Open Board Meeting. Everyone welcome! Call (818) 343-1983 to confirm.

Thurs. June 21, 4:00-5:00 p.m: Summer Reading Club for Teens and Architecture Workshop. Co-sponsored by Friends of the Library.

Thurs. June 21, 6:30-7:30 p.m: A performance of the play "Harry and Eddie: The Birth of Israel" by Mark Weston, performed by Arnold Weiss.

Sat. June 23, 10:00 a.m-2:30 p.m: ACT Practice Exam.

Tues. June 26, 4:00-5:00 p.m: Summer Reading Club fun! Songs and Stories with Georgette Baker. Co-sponsored by Friends of the Library.

Weds. June 27, 4:00-5:30 p.m: Friends of Library History & Politics Book Club will be exploring the causes of war. Select and read a book about the War of 1812 and come prepared for a lively discussion.

Thurs. June 28, 4:00-5:00 p.m: Summer Reading Club for Teens: Drums from Around the World. Co-sponsored by Friends of the Library.

Thurs. June 28, 5:30-6:30 pm: Book Lovers Book Club will be discussing The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson.

Sat. June 30, 2:00-4:00 pm: Last Saturday of the Month Poetry. Come listen to an eclectic group of poets. All are invited to participate. Read a classic poem or your own poetry. Each reader will have six minutes.
