Conan O'Brien's Architectural Battle: Encino Lady Foot Locker vs. Empire State Building

Because of the long-standing rivalry between New York City and Los Angeles, Conan O'Brien decided to settle it in a series of fights, pitting city landmarks against each other, according to footage and commentary on LA.Curbed.com.

While taping his show in New York last week, he had the Empire State Building (or, more accurately, a person dressed up in an ESB costume) do battle against two Los Angeles buildings.

The website also reported that this week, O'Brien staged a similar fight between the ESB, the Capitol Records Building, and a Lady Foot Locker that he said was from Ventura Boulevard in Encino (I'm pretty sure that the nearest Foot Locker to Encino is in , though, but that's okay.)

O'Brien's not the only one to poke fun at Encino's strip malls and stores; an op-ed in the New York Times recently where the author wondered what was so miraculous about Encino's 'Miracle Mile' of stores.
