Los Angeles Gasoline Price Falls, Ending 14-Day Streak of Increases

The cheapest gas in the area is $3.69, according to GasBuddy.com.

A 14-day streak of rising prices ended today when the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County fell a half-cent to $3.888.

The average price increased 8.4 cents during the streak, including one- tenth of a cent Friday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 2.5 cents higher than one week ago and 75.5 cents more than this time last year, but 4.3 cents less than one month ago.

The Orange County average price recorded its second consecutive decrease after rising for 13 consecutive days, falling a half-cent to $3.864, 2.2 cents more than a week ago and 72.8 cents higher than this time last year, but 4.1 cents less than one month ago.
