Guide to July 4th Fireworks Shows in the Valley

Choose from among the biggest Independence Day events in the area.

There are a lot of Fourth of July fireworks shows planned in the Valley, and Encino Patch has created this map of the five shows nearest to Encino. The following Independence Day events come with more entertainment than just fireworks, and many are all-day extravaganzas.

ANNUAL SAN FERNANDO VALLEY INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
A holiday celebration featuring music and other live entertainment, food and fireworks. Take a swim in the 1.5-acre swim lake available for use during the day.
When: July 4, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: Hansen Dam Recreation Area, 11770 Foothill Blvd., Lake View Terrace
Cost: Free

JULY 4TH FIREWORKS FESTIVAL IN STUDIO CITY
A fun-filled day of exhibits, music, food, fireworks, a children’s fun zone and a business exposition in a back lot at CBS Studios. It’s great for the whole family.
When: July 4, 5–9:30 p.m.; gates open at 4:30 p.m.
Where: CBS Studio Center, 4024 Radford Ave., Studio City
Cost: Adults, $15 advance, $20 at the gate; children age 6-12, $8 advance, $10 at the gate; add $20 for rooftop viewing access or pay $100 for VIP tickets. Parking is free.

4TH OF JULY FIREWORKS SHOW IN LA CRESCENTA
Music, rides and a lineup of food trucks. The evening ends with about a 15-minute fireworks show. 
When: July 4; gates open at 4 p.m. and close at 8:30 p.m. Fireworks at 9 p.m.
Where: La Crescenta Elementary School playground, 2800 Prospect Ave., La Crescenta
Cost: General admission, $5; children age 2 and under, free. Rides extra.

ANNUAL DENNIS P. ZINE JULY 4TH EXTRAVAGANZA IN WOODLAND HILLS
A celebration that includes a play zone for kids, a free concert, food vendors and a fireworks show.
When: July 4. Concert at 6-8 p.m. Fireworks to live music at 9:05 p.m.
Where: Warner Park, 5800 Topanga Canyon Blvd., Woodland Hills
Cost: Free
Parking: $15 in any of the Warner Center structures between Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Canoga Avenue or Califa and Oxnard streets.

4TH OF JULY SPECTACULAR IN PORTER RANCH
A free festival and fireworks show at Shepherd of the Hills Church in Porter Ranch. It includes moon bounces and face painting for the children, an outdoor stage show and food purchases from more than a dozen local food vendors. The festival culminates in a 21-minute fireworks display.
When: July 4, 4:30-10 p.m.; gates open at 4:30 p.m.

Cost: Free
