PHOTO GALLERY: Our Local Japanese Garden

There's plenty to see at this beautiful oasis of flora and fauna.

The Japanese garden, located at 6100 Woodley Avenue, next to the Tillman Water Recreation Plant, was created in 1983 with City funds and, to this day, remains a beautiful place to spend a sunny afternoon in the Valley.

Click on the photos above to see photos of the garden, its plants and wildlife.

There are a couple of events coming up at the garden in the fall: on September 9, there wll be an Ikebana (flower arrangement) exhibition; and on October 14, an origami festival.
