Join the 'Walk to End Poverty' at Lake Balboa Park Saturday

The event is hoping to raise money for people living below the poverty line in local communities.

Put on your sneakers and join the 'Walk to End Poverty' at Lake Balboa Park this Saturday. Registration begins at 9 a.m.

Bethel Encino is one of the local organizations taking part, and members are hoping to raise $30,000 at the event through sponsorship.

According to the LSS Community Care Centers’ "Walk to End Poverty" website, "proceeds will go to  those living below the poverty line in our community. The hungry, the homeless, the unemployed, the elderly, single mothers and children will all benefit from this event."
