LAFD Ambulance and Car Collide in Encino

The paramedics have been taken to the hospital to be checked, the driver of the car is uninjured.

A Los Angeles Fire Department ambulance with a patient inside collided with a compact car in Encino today.

The collision in the 6000 block of White Oak Avenue in Encino was reported at 12:51 p.m., Brian Humphrey of the fire department said.

The ambulance did not have its emergency lights or siren on, he said. Two paramedics were taken to a hospital to be checked out, and the patient was put into another ambulance, Humphrey said.

The woman driving the other vehicle was uninjured. Los Angeles police with the Valley Traffic Division are handling the investigation.
