LAPD Still Seeks Man Who Allegedly Rammed Police Car Outside Nightclub

The LAPD is still seeking a man wanted for an alleged assault on a police officer on May 14. The man is also alleged to have run over a passenger in his car who is now is critical condition in a local hospital. The man is described as driving a Nissan four-door that has collision damage to the rear center. It will have bullet holes in it and may have blood on the passenger side. The suspect is described as a male Hispanic in his mid 20s. He is approximately 5 foot 5 inches tall and weighs approx 200 lbs. He was wearing dark blue clothing and has a mohawk. He speaks perfect English and has no accent. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call FID Detective Ben Fernandez at 213-486-5201.

Monday Morning

1:33 a.m. 10600 block of Magnolia Boulevard, North Hollywood
LAFD is called to a "non-emergency for abdominal pains" at the 7-Eleven.

1:42 a.m. 11800 block of Elkwood Street, North Hollywood
LAFD Engine 89 and Rescue 889 are called to the scene of a "person down" at the residence.

2 a.m. 20600 block of Sherman Way, Canoga Park
Topanga Division LAPD patrol units are requested to respond to a burglary in progress. The caller reports an "unknown man wearing a black jacket" trying to gain entry into the apartment.

2:02 a.m. LAPD Helicopter, Air 16, is responding to the "459 (burglary) suspect, there now" call.

2:06 a.m. Air 16 is now over the possible burglary scene, and observes a security company vehicle in the back parking lot. The dispatcher, who is in contact with the person reporting the possible burglary, tells Air 16 that the alleged burglar suspect was earlier seen with the security guard who wears a brown uniform.

2:12 a.m. Cahuenga Boulevard and Magnolia Boulevard, North Hollywood
North Hollywood LAPD patrol units are informed of a man "with a possible gun" creating a disturbance. A caller reports a white man with "a beard and a mustache," wearing "a visor." The visor-wearing bearded man was said to be screaming at the caller, and pointing a "simulated handgun," (a gesture made with his fingers) but no weapon is seen. The visor-wearing bearded man was last seen heading on Cahuenga Boulevard toward Chandler Boulevard.

2:13 a.m. Jellico Avenue and Willard Street, Northridge
West Valley LAPD patrol units are called to respond to a "burglary/motor vehicle suspect" in the area. The possible burglar was seen pulling on door handles of parked cars and was carrying a backpack. He was last seen on Willard Street heading toward Encino Avenue. Patrol units are requested to respond, "code 2" (without lights and sirens).

2:15 a.m. 5400 block of Cahuenga Boulevard, North Hollywood
North Hollywood LAPD units have stopped the visor-wearing bearded man, who may be possibly armed with a handgun. They call for "back up," (additional patrol units to assist them, in case he actually is armed), although they note that he appears to be very drunk.

2:18 a.m. Encino Avenue and Roscoe Boulevard, Northridge
A West Valley LAPD patrol unit is now on the scene and observes the possible car burglary suspect near Roscoe Boulevard and Encino Avenue.

2:18 a.m. 5400 block of Cahuenga Boulevard, North Hollywood
Additional North Hollywood LAPD patrol units have arrived on the scene, and the visor-wearing bearded man is taken into custody.

2:19 a.m. Encino Avenue and Roscoe Boulevard, Northridge
The West Valley LAPD unit radios the dispatcher that the car burglary suspect is now in custody.

Monday Afternoon

1:15 p.m. 4900 block of Louise Avenue, Encino
LAFD Engine 83 and Rescue 93 are called to help a "person down" at the location.

1:16 p.m. 10600 block of Vinedale Street, Sun Valley
LAFD Engine 73 and Rescue 73 are called to help a "sick person" at the residence.

1:22 p.m. 4900 block of Louise Avenue, Encino
LAFD Engine 83 has arrived on the scene and they do not find a "person down." Engine 83 radios Operations Command Dispatch (OCD) and advises them that this is a "false" call and they need to cancel the rescue ambulance.

1:42 p.m. 5300 block of Colfax Avenue, North Hollywood
North Hollywood LAPD units are requested to investigate an "ambulance/attempted suicide" incident at the residence.

2:04 p.m. 11900 block of Laurelwood Drive, Studio City
North Hollywood LAPD units are called to the scene of a "battery/domestic violence" incident. One female roommate is reported to be attacking the other one, at the apartment complex. The alleged domestic violence suspect is also observed to be drunk.  Patrol units are requested to respond, "code 2" (without lights and sirens).

2:18 p.m. 12800 block of Paxton Avenue, Pacoima
LAFD Rescue 98 has arrived on the scene of their current call. They radio OCD, and several dogs can be heard loudly barking during the transmission. Rescue 98 requests OCD to call back the reporting person to handle the "couple dogs here."

2:18 p.m. Magnolia Boulevard and Cartwright Avenue, North Hollywood
A citizen reports to LAPD about a reckless driver in a 4-door Honda Civic. The Honda is driving northbound on Cartwright Avenue from Magnolia Boulevard, and is "driving erratically."

2:20 p.m. 9600 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard, Pacoima
Foothill Division LAPD units are notified of a possible "trespass suspect" at the residence. The alleged trespass suspect is a "male, white, blond hair, wearing a black shirt and carrying a black bag." The caller saw this person inside his backyard, but is unsure if this person is still there.

2:22 p.m. 4400 block of Sepulveda Boulevard, Van Nuys
Van Nuys LAPD units are called to the scene of a "man assaulting a woman." The patrol units are requested to respond "code 3" (with lights and sirens) to the apartment complex.
