More Storm Clouds Loom Over Encino

The Sepulveda Basin was flooded and closed to traffic early Saturday morning. Scattered showers are expected throughout the day.

The Sepulveda Basin was closed due to heavy rain in area from 2 a.m. to about 4 a.m. Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service is forecasting scattered showers and thunderstorms for Encino on Saturday. Sun may break through during the day, and the temperature is expected to reach a high of 49 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

The forecast for Saturday night calls for a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10 p.m., with patchy frost forming overnight. Temperatures could fall to 34 degrees Saturday night.
