Nightly Lane Closure on Mullholland Bridge Begins Monday

The closure is due to ongoing sewer relocation work, and will last for approximately six weeks.

As part of continuing sewer relocation work, the contractor will conduct the installation of a sewer bypass line near the Mulholland Bridge and Skirball Center Dr. This work requires a nightly lane closure on the Mulholland Bridge from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am. The contractor will utilize a flagging operation to direct two-way traffic through one lane on the Mulholland Bridge.

This work is anticipated to begin Monday, January 23, 2012, and last approximately six weeks. Some weekend work may be required.

What to expect: In conjunction with this work, the Skirball Bridge will continue to be closed nightly as part of continuing utility relocation work. Emergency vehicle access will be maintained. Pedestrians will be rerouted to a safe area outside of the construction zone. Please note that the work is weather permitting and subject to change.
