Suspicious Package Outside Van Nuys Bank Is Found to Be Harmless

The LAPD bomb squad was called to the scene.

A suspicious package spotted outside a bank in Van Nuys turned out to be harmless, a police spokesman said Monday.

The 911 call about a package at the intersection of Victory Avenue and Van Nuys Boulevard came into police at 10:42 p.m. Christmas night, Los Angeles police spokesman Greg Baek said.

"The LAPD's bomb squad was called to the scene and investigated the package and found nothing inside the box," Baek said.
