A missing 81-year-old man who disappeared in Encino has been found safely, according to the LAPD West Valley Division.
The family of John Maykovich and the Los Angeles Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit had asked for the public’s help in locating him.
According to an LAPD posting on Nixle, a law enforcement notification system, Maykovich went for a walk at around 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 20 in the area of 16800 Halper Street in Encino, and did not return. The Nixle alert also stated that Maykovich was visiting from Sacramento and not familiar with the area.
