This class provides expectant and new parents with the information needed to start breastfeeding off right from the beginning, learning not only how to breastfeed successfully, but to enhance the development of a secure attachment. We will discuss the most up to date information on breastfeeding; physiology of lactation;positioning and latch techniques; how to make enough milk for your baby; how to know if your baby is getting enough milk; where to go for help; red flags for when to call your lactation consultant; the countless benefits of breastfeeling for mom; baby and the environment, and so much more!

Saray Hill, IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant), is also a breastfeeding peer counselor, trained postpartum doula, and an Eco-Maternity Consultant/Baby Planner. Additionally, she is a Green Birth Educator. Saray is bilingual in Spanish and English and has extensive training and experience. She is founder/president of Mother's Utopia, which offers a variety of services to expectant and new moms. Saray brings her enthusiasm for her profession and to women health, genuinely wanting the best breastfeeding for all mothers.
