Volunteers at the Sepulveda Basin Off Leash Dog Park are teaming up with Big Sunday to host Big Sunday Weekend at the dog park on Saturday.
In the morning, around 9 a.m., volunteers will gather to help clean the park. They will fill in holes, clean the chairs and benches, pick up the droppings and anything else that shouldn't be lying around.
They will also be doing some tree maintenance, deep watering 35 trees that dog park volunteers planted two years ago during a previous Big Sunday event at the dog park. Volunteers will receive a door prize ticket for a chance to win fabulous prizes.

From 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. there will be Dog Adoptions through Los Angeles Animal Services mobile adoption program, a low cost vaccination clinic and pet licensing at the park. Volunteers will be on hand accepting donations of new/used towels and blankets and unopened cans/bags of dog food for the shelter dogs.
There will be a craft table set up were volunteers can make chew toys that will be donated to L.A. Animal Services. They are also going to be making paper mache flower pots filled with tissue flowers that Big Sunday volunteers will deliver to people who are home bound.

LAPD officers will give an informative talk about starting a Neighborhood Watch program, also known as “Park Watch”.
