34 Firefighters Knock Down Tarzana Shed Fire

Shed fire threatens attic of home, but is extinguished quickly. No one is injured.

A fire broke out Saturday night in Tarzana, but no one was harmed, a city fire official said.

The fire was reported at 9:39 p.m. in a shed at 4224 Aleman Drive, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Rescuers arriving at the location reported flames from the shed threatening to spread to the attic of the home, Humphrey said.

With 34 firefighters on the scene, the flames were confined to the shed in 18 minutes, Humphrey said.

There was superficial damage to the home, Humphrey said.
