A 'Hot Prowl' and a Female With a Pole Vandalizing Property on Ventura Boulevard

These are the raw scanner reports from the San Fernando Valley Saturday and Sunday.

Here are the raw data of reports collected Saturday and Sunday by listening to the police scanner. If there are additional details needed, we'll file full news stories on the items and let you know.

Saturday, Feb. 12

7:05 p.m. 6600 block of Woodley Ave., Van Nuys

Report of an assault with a deadly weapon in progress, in the alley. The suspects are described as seven male Hispanics, possible gang members in their 20s, with no further description given. They are seen assaulting one male Hispanic, who is on the floor. It is unknown if an “F.D.” (fire department / ambulance response) is needed.

7:08 p.m. Southbound on Woodman Avenue at Roscoe Boulevard, Valley Glen

A Valley patrol unit is in pursuit of a “DUI” (driving under the influence) suspect. The patrol unit requests a backup patrol car, a supervisor, and a police helicopter, if available. The suspect vehicle was involved in an earlier hit-and-run at Nordhoff Street and Woodman Avenue. The suspect is finally stopped just southbound of Sherman Way, and taken into custody.

Sunday

12:29 a.m. The area of Magnolia Boulevard and the Hollywood 170 Freeway, North Hollywood

Report of a “390” (drunk) female driver. She is seen exiting at the Magnolia Boulevard off-ramp in a  BMW.

12:45 a.m. 11100 block of Magnolia Boulevard, North Hollywood

A report of battery just occurred at North Hollywood Billiards. An ambulance is requested.

12:53 a.m. White Oak Avenue and Hatteras Street, Lake Balboa

A possible prowler is reported. An unknown person is seen on top of the house, and an unfamiliar red and white vehicle is parked nearby.

12:54 a.m. 6000 block of Vose Street, Sun Valley

An unknown trouble call traced to an apartment location. 911 advises hearing somebody in the background.

12:56 a.m. 8400 block of Langdon Avenue, North Hills

Report of “one shot heard, and then screaming” coming from an apartment. There is no description given of the suspect.

12:59 a.m. White Oak Avenue and Hatteras Street, Lake Balboa

Dispatch advises all units of the “code 4” status (no further assistance needed). The suspect and the person reporting are “GOA” (gone on arrival).

1:04 a.m. 11300 block of Magnolia Boulevard, North Hollywood

The assault victim at the billiard hall is now “GOA.“

1:15 a.m. White Oak Avenue and Kittridge Street, Reseda

A man is reportedly seen armed with a knife.

7:32 p.m. 6200 block of Ben Avenue, North Hollywood

Emergency call for “difficult breathing.”

8:00 p.m. 18000 Sherman Way, Reseda

Robbery just occurred, and two suspects are seen running southbound.

Suspect #1 is a male, Hispanic, 5’9”, 200 lbs., wearing a white T-shirt. Suspect #2 is a male, with no further description. Weapon used was “bodily force” and property taken was $200 and the victim’s California I.D. card.

8:22 p.m. 12800 block of Moorpark Street, Studio City

Emergency mental illness call. The patient is a white male, suffering from “an unknown mental illness,” possibly bipolar. Police are requested to respond, “code 3” (lights and sirens).

8:33 p.m. 9200 block of Geyser Avenue, Northridge

Report of a fire in a single family dwelling. It is described by the first responding fire company to be “fully involved.”

8:51 p.m. 1400 block of Gilmore Street, Van Nuys

Report of a ”screaming woman” heard in the apartment complex.

8:52 p.m. 4900 block of Bluebell Avenue, North Hollywood

Possible theft suspect is described as a white male, with a skateboard.

9:52 p.m. 18400 block of Ventura Boulevard, Tarzana

“484” (theft) suspect is last seen “across the street, at Taco Bell.”

10:03 p.m. Magnolia Boulevard And Vineland Avenue, North Hollywood

Report of a”415” fight. A white male is seen assaulting a white female. They are in an older model, classic car, a yellow convertible with a black top. The vehicle has possible “out-of-state” plates. It is last seen westbound on Magnolia Boulevard.

10:05 p.m. Lankershim Boulevard and Erwin Street, North Hollywood

Report of domestic violence.

10:10 p.m. 18000 Ventura Boulevard, Tarzana

A white female, with long, curly hair, who talks with a heavy accent, is seen carrying a pole and vandalizing property as she walks eastbound on Ventura Boulevard.

10:20 p.m. 6200 block of Kester Avenue, Van Nuys

Report of a “hot prowl” (a burglary done while the residents are still at home), possibly at the reporting person/s house.

10:56 p.m. 6700 block of Fallbrook Aveue, Canoga Park

Dispatch requests a patrol unit to respond to a “code 30 ringer” (activated burglar alarm).

10:58 p.m. Roscoe Boulevard And Topanga Canyon Boulevard, Canoga Park

Report of a white male, 6 feet tall, wearing a peach-colored shirt and beige pants, seen carrying a plate in front of El Pollo Loco, heading towards Wells Fargo. The person is observed to be “possibly suffering from dementia.”

11:10 p.m. 6700 block of Fallbrook Avenue, Canoga Park

Possible burglary is now a “window smash.” Patrol unit is advised to meet the person reporting at the location. The person will be in a black Lincoln Navigator.

11:13 p.m. 12oo0 block of Ventura Boulevard, Studio City

911 call for a rescue ambulance to “respond to the overdose.”
