Encino El Pollo Loco Blaze Extinguished

No one was harmed in the fire.

Fire broke out today atop the roof of an El Pollo Loco restaurant in Encino, but no one was harmed, a city fire official said.

The fire was reported at 4:15 p.m. at 5100 N. White Oak Ave., said Eric French of the Los Angeles Fire Department. The store is on the corner of Ventura and White Oak and also lists its address as 17660 Ventura Boulevard. The flames on the roof were under control by 4:30 p.m., French said. No injuries were immediately reported.

French said that a "light smoke" was seen coming from the roof and that the fire had been extinguished when the LAFD arrived on the scene.
