The LAPD West Valley division has asked locals to come forward with any information about the incident.

Los Angeles police today appealed to the public to help them find the suspect or suspects who stole gardening equipment and tools from a shed at the Encino Little League field.

The burglary occurred sometime between Friday at 4 p.m. and 7:45 a.m. this morning at 5120 Hayvenhurst Ave. The shed was accessed via roof air vent. An unknown suspect entered the shed through the roof, police said. The suspect removed the roof air vent to gain entry.

Once inside, the suspect was able to unlock the front door and remove a number of gardening tools and equipment. The suspect or suspects then dragged the equipment across the vehicle.

Police have no information on a suspect or vehicle involved in the theft, but they do know that the suspect would have to be small in order to have gained entry through the air vent.
