Friday Night Police Scanner Calls Around the Valley

Calls of 'shots fired,' group fights and a report of child abuse are all received by the LAPD Friday night and Saturday Morning

The LAPD is still searching for five or six people believed to be connected to a  that occurred on Laurel Canyon Boulevard in North Hollywood on June 6. A 19-year-old man on a bicycle was shot and killed. 

These are the raw data reports heard over the police scanner frequencies in the San Fernando Valley on Friday Night/Saturday Morning. Boldfaced communities are covered by Patch.

Friday Night

11:39 p.m. 8100 block of Coldwater Canyon Boulevard, North Hollywood
North Hollywood Division LAPD patrol units are called to the scene of a "possible shooting just occurred." The person reporting informs police that "three shots" were heard, and may have originated at the scene of a party at the location.

11:42 p.m. 10400 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard, Pacoima
Foothill Division LAPD patrol units are called to the scene of a "211 in progress" (robbery). "Two armed (security) vehicles" will also be responding to the location of the La Placita Market.

11:48 p.m. Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Vanowen Street, North Hollywood
North Hollywood Division LAPD patrol units are called to the scene of a "415 group fight." 6 men are reported to be "fist-fighting" in front of the church.

11:56 p.m. Gladstone Avenue and Claretta Street, Lakeview Terrace
Foothill Division LAPD is called to the scene of an "ADW" (assault with a deadly weapon) in progress. A woman is reportedly arguing and threatening another person, saying she is going to get "a baseball bat."

Saturday Morning
12:10 a.m. Woodman Avenue and Roscoe Boulevard, Panorama City
Mission Division LAPD patrol units are called to the scene of a possible armed robbery. Two males, one approximately 14 years old and the other approximately 18 years old, used "bodily force" to allegedly rob a victim. Property taken was "U.S. currency and a red-and-black Blackberry (cellphone)."

12:19 a.m. 6400 block of Petit Avenue, Lake Balboa
West Valley Division LAPD Patrol units are called to investigate a report of a "screaming woman" at the location. A caller reports seeing a "white four-door vehicle of unknown make and model."

12:20 a.m. 6400 Petit Avenue, Lake Balboa
LAPD is alerted to another report of "screaming woman" at the location. A caller observes a "silver four-door vehicle of unknown make and model" with a woman passenger screaming inside.

12:24 a.m. 11000 Moorpark Street, Studio City
North Hollywood Division LAPD units are called to the scene of an alleged "domestic violence" incident at the Villa Marina Apartments. A caller reports a man is possibly abusing his domestic partner at the residence.

12:32 a.m. 12300 block of Osborne Place, Pacoima
Foothill Division LAPD patrol units are called to the scene of an alleged "domestic violence" incident. A male is heard "physically assaulting a female, and the female is heard screaming" in the apartment complex. Patrol units are requested to respond "code 3" (an emergency response with lights and sirens).

1:22 a.m. 6700 block of Cedros Avenue, North Hollywood
North Hollywood Division LAPD units are called to investigate a possible child abuse situation. A caller heard a "female voice yelling" and a "child heard crying." Patrol units are requested to respond "code 3."

1:35 a.m. Winnetka Avenue and Parthenia Street, Winnetka
Devonshire Division LAPD patrol units are called to the intersection to investigate a man creating a disturbance. A "male, white, thin build, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt" is running in front of vehicles.

1:37 a.m. 11200 block of Ventura Boulevard, North Hollywood
North Hollywood Division LAPD patrol units are called to the scene of an "unknown trouble." A caller has dialed 911 but no person has spoken, and an "open line" remains.

1:49 a.m.
Sherman Way and Woodman Avenue, Valley Glen
LAPD patrol units are informed about a possible drunk driver in the area. The white Cadillac SUV is seen traveling westbound on Sherman Way from Woodman Avenue.

1:55 a.m. Lankershim Boulevard and Burbank Boulevard, North Hollywood
North Hollywood Division LAPD patrol units are called to the scene of a possible assault with a deadly weapon "in progress, three versus one" (three men are allegedly beating up another man). Patrol units are requested to respond immediately to the front of El Zorro Nightclub, where the alleged crime is happening.

2:05 a.m. 8100 block of Coldwater Canyon Avenue, North Hollywood
North Hollywood Division LAPD patrol units are dispatched again to the scene of a party at the residential location. The officers are directed to respond to the alley, where a "group fight" has been reported. North Hollywood Division patrol units have already responded to the scene earlier in the night, for a "possible shooting occurred" that turned up "no evidence that a shooting occurred."

2:13 a.m. 119600 block of Ventura Boulevard, Studio City
North Hollywood Division LAPD is called to the scene of an "ambulance battery" (a possible crime of battery where the alleged victim needs medical attention) at the Page 71 Lounge. An allegedly drunk employee got into a fight with other staff members inside the business. The patrol units are requested to respond "code 3" to the incident.
