Friday Night Police Scanner Report

These are some of the police calls heard on the scanner in the San Fernando Valley Friday night.

Friday Night

9:35 p.m. 7900 block of Topanga Canyon Boulevard, Canoga Park
LAFD Rescue 72 is dispatched to attend to a person having "difficult breathing."

9:40 p.m. San Fernando Valley
LAFD is on the scene of a "domestic dispute and animal bite" incident.

9:52 p.m. Paxton Street and Glenoaks Boulevard, Pacoima
LAFD Light Force 90 and Rescue 90 are called to the scene of an unconscious person near the intersection.

9:54 p.m. 14100 block of Delano Street, Van Nuys
Van Nuys Division LAPD patrol units are called to the scene of a man allegedly fighting another person, and he is said to be armed with a knife. Patrol units are to respond "code 3" (with lights and sirens) to the residence.

9:56 p.m. Lorne Street and Vineland Avenue, Sun Valley
Foothill Division LAPD patrol units are called to the scene of "vandalism (happening) there now." Two young adults, a male and a female both dressed in all black clothing, are seen vandalizing commercial property near the intersection.

9:57 p.m. Weddington Street, North Hollywood
North Hollywood Division LAPD patrol units are requested to investigate a drunk person arguing with the apartment manager at the complex. The drunk person is described as "white, heavy-set" female, and she is holding "a bottle of vodka and orange juice." The manager says the heavy-set drunk woman refuses to leave the apartment where "she does not reside."

10:04 p.m. 19700 block of Lassen Street, Northridge
LAFD Rescue 828 and Engine 102 are called for a "non-emergency" response to a person who has fallen down.

10:17 p.m. 11900 block of Vose Street, North Hollywood
North Hollywood Division LAPD patrol units are called to the scene of an "ADW (assault with a deadly weapon) in progress." The caller reports the alleged assailant is "armed with a shovel." Patrol units are to respond "code 3."

10:21 p.m. Fulton Avenue and Vanowen Street, North Hollywood
LAPD is updated on an "ambulance/traffic" incident (a vehicular collision with injuries needing emergency medical help) at the intersection, that is now a hit-and-run crime scene. The hit-and-run suspect is described as a hispanic male, about 20-25 years old, 5'7" tall and wearing dark clothing. He is last seen fleeing the scene, driving northbound on Fulton Avenue in a silver Toyota pick-up truck.

10:30 p.m. Somewhere in Reseda
LAFD Engine 73 has arrived on the scene of their incident. They call Operations Command Dispatch (OCD) and request LAPD to respond to the scene. They advise OCD that they need LAPD to "secure a large amount of cash."

10:31 p.m. 22000 block of Ventura Boulevard, Woodland Hills
Topanga Division LAPD patrol units are called to the scene of an "ambulance/battery" incident (a battery victim needs emergency medical attention).

10:34 p.m. 7600 block of Reseda Boulevard, Northridge
West Valley Division LAPD patrol units are called to investigate an "ambulance/man down" (an unconscious man needing emergency medical attention, possibly the victim of a crime) incident at the residence.

10:36 p.m. 11500 block of Magee Avenue, Pacoima
Foothill Division LAPD patrol units are called to the scene of an "ADW suspect there now." The alleged assailant is described as a white male "wearing a black shirt, brown shorts, brandishing a handgun." Patrol units are requested to respond, "code 3."

10:36 p.m. 11600 block of Lemay Street, North Hollywood
North Hollywood Division LAPD patrol units are dispatched to a "battery suspect there now" incident. The alleged assailant is described as "the father, 40 years old" and he is drunk. The caller reports that the father is not armed. Patrol units are to respond "code 3."

10:37 p.m. Canoga Park
LAFD Light Force 72 and Rescue 72 are sent to the scene of an "assault" at the residence. LAPD has also been notified of the incident.

10:38 p.m. 8100 Langdon Street, North Hills
Mission Division LAPD patrol units are called to the apartment complex for a "battery/domestic violence" incident. The alleged battery suspect is described as a 24-year-old male, "wearing all white" clothing.

10:40 p.m. Woodland Hills
LAFD Engine 84 is at the scene of their incident. They radio OCD to "expedite LAPD for a beligerent individual."

10:40 p.m. 11100 block of Lemay Street, North Hollywood
LAFD Light Force 89 and Rescue 60 are called to help a person with "difficult respiration" at the residence.

10:42 p.m. Parthenia Street and De Soto Street, Winnetka
LAPD is called to "meet CHP" (a California Highway Patrol officer is at the scene) at the traffic accident location. An "unlicensed driver" is involved.

10:47 p.m. 14500 block of Saticoy Street, Van Nuys
Van Nuys Division LAPD patrol units are notified about an "unknown trouble call." A woman has called and requested police attention, but did not give any more information.

10:48 p.m. 13100 block of Victory Boulevard, Valley Glen
Van Nuys Division LAPD patrol units are called to respond "code 3" to a "screaming woman" call. The person reporting hears a woman continuously screaming, possibly crying, at the top of the location. An uknown male voice "telling her to be quiet."

10:49 p.m. 13100 block of Victory Boulevard, Valley Glen
Van Nuys Division LAPD patrol units are given additional information about the "screaming woman" call. A suspicious man is reported to be walking in the alley behind the residence with his "shirt hanging off." No female is seen with him.
