House Fire in Tarzana Extinguished

There were no reported injuries.

A fire that burned one room inside a house in Tarzana was extinguished Tuesday night by firefighters.

"The department dispatched 34 firefighters to'' 19115 Charles St., near Vanalden Avenue, "and knocked down the flames inside the 9,717-square foot house in 21 minutes,'' said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The fire was held in check by fire sprinklers installed in the home. It was reported at 6:47 p.m., Scott said. No injuries were reported, Scott said.
