LAPD '459 Hot Prowl' Situation and 'Code 6 Charles Suspect' Arrest Heard on Scanner

12:06 a.m. 21400 block of Chase Street, Canoga Park
LAFD Rescue 96 is dispatched to attend to a 911 call for a "sick person."

12:11 a.m. 19200 block of Strathern Street, Northridge
LAFD Engine 73 and Rescue 73 are dispatched to a "difficult respiration" call.

12:11 a.m. 5900 block of Burnett Avenue, Van Nuys
LAFD Engine 81 and Rescue 81 are dispatched to another "difficult respiration" call.

12:12 a.m. LAFD Rescue 73 radios Operations Command Dispatch that they are not available, and another available rescue ambulance should be dispatched in their place. The patient Rescue 73 was transporting to the hospital went into "full cardiac arrest" so they cannot respond to the call on Strathern Street.

12:14 a.m. 7300 Medical Center Drive, West Hills
LAPD Topanga Division requests a patrol unit to respond to the "battery suspect there now" at West Hills Hospital. The alleged assailant is in the emergency room and is described as a 24-year-old male.

12:24 a.m. 8500 block of Lehigh Avenue, Sun Valley
Report of a man assaulting a woman at the residence. An LAPD Foothill division patrol unit is called to respond.

12:26 a.m. Burbank Boulevard and Lankershim Boulevard, North Hollywood
An LAPD North Hollywood patrol unit encounters a two-car collision in the intersection. An LAPD Valley Traffic unit is requested to the scene. The patrol unit also requests the dispatcher to notify LAFD for a rescue ambulance, an accident victim is complaining of chest and head pain.

12:30 a.m. 3200 block of Wrightwood Drive, Studio City
LAPD North Hollywood patrol unit is dispatched to a call for an "open door." A possible burglar may still be inside the residence.

12:36 a.m. 8500 block of Lehigh Avenue, Sun Valley
LAPD has arrived to the scene but advise that the involved parties are no longer there.

12:48 a.m. 5100 block of Denny Avenue, North Hollywood
LAFD Rescue 860 is dispatched to a 911 call for a person suffering from "chest pains."

12:50 a.m. 3200 block of Wrightwood Drive, Studio City
The LAPD unit on the scene requests a police helicopter to assist with their investigation of the "open door."

12:53 a.m. 6700 block of Clybourn Avenue, North Hollywood
Report of domestic violence at the apartment complex. LAPD North Hollywood patrol unit is requested to the scene.

1:00 a.m. 14500 block of Saticoy Street, Van Nuys
Report of a possible burglary at the apartment complex. The caller describes seeing a "ladder against the wall" next to the rear window of an apartment. An LAPD Van Nuys patrol unit is requested to respond.

1:11 a.m. Radford Avenue and Hortense Street, North Hollywood
LAFD and LAPD units are notified of a single vehicle roll-over at the intersection. They are advised that there is nobody trapped inside the overturned car.

1:13 a.m. LAFD is now called to respond to the scene with a rescue ambulance. There is possible injury from the accident.

1:24 a.m. 17100 block of Kinzie Street, Granada Hills
Assault with a deadly weapon/domestic violence is reported at the residence.

1:24 a.m. 7000 block of Woodley Avenue, Van Nuys
A 911 call to LAPD reporting a "battery in progress, there now" at the residence.

1:28 a.m. LAPD is informed that the battery suspect is now fleeing in a white Honda, on Woodley Avenue toward Sherman Way.

1:35 a.m. 20900 block of Parthenia Street, Winnetka
An LAPD patrol unit has encountered a "code 6 Charles suspect" (a wanted person that is known to be dangerous and possibly armed) and advise LAPD that the wanted person is now in custody.

1:44 a.m. 7500 Welby Avenue, Canoga Park
Report of "unknown trouble" at the location. LAPD Topanga patrol units are called to respond.

2:06 a.m. 5200 block of Coldwater Canyon Avenue, North Hollywood
LAPD North Hollywood unit is dispatched to Walgreens with a "code 2 response" (without lights and sirens). Two possible shoplifters are inside the 24-hour drugstore.

2:08 a.m. 12700 block of Heartland Street, North Hollywood
Engine 89 and Rescue 89 are dispatched to the emergency call for a "difficult breather."

2:36 a.m. 4200 block of Allott Avenue, Van Nuys
Report of a "459 hot prowl" (burglary attempted when the occupants are still at the location) at the residence. LAPD Van Nuys units are requested to respond "code 3" (with lights and sirens).

2:44 a.m. LAPD has arrived at the scene and advise the dispatcher that the "hot prowler" has fled the location.

2:49 a.m. 7900 block of Topanga Canyon Boulevard, Canoga Park
LAFD Rescue 72 is dispatched to help a person who is suffering from a fall.

3:06 a.m. 8200 block of Mason Avenue, Winnetka
LAPD responds to the location of "unknown trouble."  LAPD Topanga Division patrol unit is requested to respond "code 3."
