LAPD Plans Open House at West Valley Station

There will be tours of the station and displays of police vehicles and equipment.

Valley police stations are throwing open their doors and welcoming the public.

The West Valley station at 19020 Vanowen St., Reseda, is holding an open house between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 4. There will be tours of the station and displays of police vehicles and equipment. 

In Northridge, the Devonshire station at 10250 Etiwanda Ave. will be the scene of a May 18 all-you-can-eat pancake fundraiser sponsored by Supporters of Law Enforcement In Devonshire (SOLID). Breakfast tickets, available at the event, are $8 and kids 3 and under eat free. The Saturday breakfast begins at 8 a.m. and the free open house runs from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Officers will also be honoring Armed Forces Day. There will face painting for kids, and free child I.D. cards courtesy of Hollywood-West Valley Masonic Lodge.

In addition, the police SWAT team will have a display and there will be a classic car show.
