Man Shot to Death Outside Reseda Liquor Store

Argument led to shooting, police report.

A man in his 40s was shot and killed Thursday afternoon during an argument in front of a liquor store in Reseda.

The victim was arguing with a man who pulled out a handgun and shot him once in the chest before fleeing on foot. Paramedics rushed the victim to Northridge Hospital Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 7:40 p.m., Los Angeles police Officer Bruce Borihanh said.

The gunman was described as bald, about 34 years old, and last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and blue jeans, Borihanh said. The man's estimated height and weight were not available.

The shooting occurred at about 5:40 p.m. near Corbin Avenue and Sherman Way, Borihanh said.
