Drowning Averted at Encino Swimming Pool

The person involved was taken to hospital after the incident, according to the LAFD.

A person nearly drowned in a swimming pool in Encino this afternoon, the fire department reported.

Paramedics were called to the 5400 block of North White Oak Avenue at 1:07 p.m. and took the patient to a hospital, said the Los Angeles Fire Department's Matt Spence.

The gender and condition of the unidentified person were not immediately available.

I don't know the circumstances but a person should never swim in a pool alone regardless of how good a swimmer he or she is.
Too often pool deaths have occurred with no one else in the pool or poolside.
