Officer-Involved Shooting Leaves Reseda Man Hospitalized in Stable Condition

Over the scanner, West Valley LAPD patrol officers are heard reporting the shooting as it happened. LAFD transports the injured man to Northridge Hospital with a police escort.

A man was shot today by an LAPD officer responding to a call about a dispute between roommates in Reseda, police said.

The shooting occurred in the 19300 block of Welby Way around 4:20 a.m., said Officer Rosario Herrera of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations section.

The suspect was taken to a hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, said Officer Bruce Borihanh, also of Media Relations.

No officers were injured, Herrera said.

"Officers were advised the suspect had a gun. Officers entered the room, the suspect pointed the gun and an officer-involved shooting occurred," Herrera said.
