Police say he parked down the street from the home, went to the front gate, rang the bell and peered over the fence. When no one answered the door, he climbed over a wall to the side of the home and onto the property. At one point, he opened a side gate, but apparently got spooked and left without entering the home, police said.

The resident returned home to find the side gate open and checked her surveillance system video, which showed the trespasser, police said.
