Monday

The LAPD all day were dealing with a man in Sylmar who had barricaded himself in his home after . The man was found dead in his home of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound after they had torn a wall off the home with a "bat cat." The police officer has been listed as being in serious but stable condition and is expected to live.

Tuesday

12:03 a.m. 12200 block of Vanowen Street, North Hollywood
Report of "GTA" (grand theft auto) at the location. The thieves are observed to still be there, described as two to three males "armed with a bat."

12:11 a.m. Woodman Avenue and Victory Boulevard, Valley Glen
LAPD stops a possibly wanted and dangerous suspect. After investigation, it is determined that he is not the wanted person.

12:22 a.m. 12700 block of Gain Street, Pacoima
Report of "unknown trouble."

12:35 a.m.
Somewhere close to a cell phone tower on Cohasset Street, Van Nuys
Report of 911 "unknown trouble" call from a cellphone. A man is heard in the background, yelling and arguing with the female caller, who is asking him to leave the location. The cell phone call is traced back to a wireless tower near Cohasset Street.

12:35 a.m. Tampa Avenue and Saticoy Street, Reseda
LAPD patrol officers have stopped three pedestrians at the bank parking lot.

12:35 a.m. Woodman Avenue and Roscoe Boulevard, Panorama City
Mission Division LAPD is called to the scene of an "ambulance/shooting" at the 76 gas station.

12:41 a.m. Mission patrol unit has arrived on the scene and received a description of the shooting suspects. They are said to be two black males, 22 to 25 years in age, dressed in dark clothing, last seen on foot heading southbound on Woodman Avenue from Roscoe Boulevard. The weapon used was reported to be a semi-automatic handgun.

12:45 a.m. 3700 block of Avenida Del Sol, Studio City
Report of a "hot prowl," an act of trespassing/burglary while occupants are still at the location. An unknown person is believed to be on the premises of the four-story residence. The person reporting will be waiting at the bottom floor for LAPD to arrive, and police are advised that small children also live at the residence.

12:46 a.m. LAPD has arrived on the scene and are outside the residence. They radio the dispatcher and ask for more details on where to meet the person reporting. The dispatcher tells the officer that there's a security gate that must be opened by someone inside.

12:47 a.m. The woman caller at the residence has now reported that she still hears someone inside her residence on the top floor, and believes she hears the prowler "possibly moving tables" around.

12:51 a.m. Air 10, the LAPD helicopter, has arrived on the scene. Air 10 asks the dispatcher to verify with the resident a description of her house. The helicopter is now over a "white house with the flat roof, and the swimming pool in the front yard." The dispatcher confirms with the woman that they are above the correct location.

12:53 a.m. Woodman Avenue and Roscoe Boulevard, Panorama City
Updated information concerning the shooting comes in. The police now place the shooting scene at another location: Sherman Way and Hazeltine Avenue.

12:58 a.m. 3700 block of Avenida Del Sol, Studio City
LAPD officers on the scene are meeting the woman caller at the gate, and request that all the residents gather outside the house.

1 a.m. 5500 block of Reseda Boulevard, Tarzana
A burglar alarm has been tripped at the Office Depot. LAPD has arrived at the scene and request for Air 10 to fly over for a "roof check." Air 10 advises that they are still assisting on the "hot prowl" incident and will respond with a delay.

1 a.m. Sherman Way and Hazeltine Avenue, Valley Glen
An LAPD patrol unit has arrived on the scene, but cannot find evidence of where the shooting happened. They radio dispatch if there is more information provided by the shooting victim.

1:02 a.m. LAPD continues searching near the intersection, yet cannot find any evidence related to the shooting.

1:06 a.m. Kittridge Street and Troost Avenue, North Hollywood
An LAPD patrol unit has encountered a suspicious vehicle, a black Crown Victoria sedan. They request a back-up patrol unit to assist, and possibly an airship, in case there is a chase.

1:09 a.m. 6700 block of Troost Avenue, North Hollywood
The LAPD back-up unit has arrived on Troost Avenue. The first unit advises them that the vehicle is occupied with two males, who look like possible "gangsters." The black Crown Victoria is found to have license plates that belong to another vehicle. The first unit pulls over the black car, and the occupants put their hands in the air. An LAPD helicopter arrives and is hovering overhead on Lankershim Boulevard, and requests another arriving patrol unit to hold position on Lankershim, just south of Vanowen Street, in case of "runners."

1:15 a.m. 5700 block of Vesper Avenue, Van Nuys
Report of "domestic violence/restraining order violation." The violator is the ex-boyfriend who is at the location. Van Nuys Division units are requested to respond "code 3" (with lights and sirens).

1:37 a.m. 10100 block of Buckeye Avenue, San Fernando
Report of possible car burglary suspects on Buckeye Avenue. Observed are two males, one wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and walking a dog.

1:44 a.m. Royal Oak Road, Encino
Report of "unknown trouble." West Valley units are requested to respond.

1:46 a.m. 20700 block of Sherman Way, Canoga Park
LAFD responds to an emergency call for an assault.

1:50 a.m. 20700 block of Sherman Way, Canoga Park
LAPD receives a call for "ambulance/attempted suicide" at the location.

1:51 a.m. 11000 block of Kittridge Street, North Hollywood
Report of a 27-year old man described as a "gang member" seen shooting a "bb gun" or a handgun inside the apartment complex next door. The person reporting observed two rounds fired, but is unsure what type of gun it is.

1:58 a.m. 6100 block of Vineland Avenue, North Hollywood
Report of robbery by two males, both with coverings over their faces. The robbers were last seen on foot in an unknown direction.

Tuesday Night

10:01 p.m.
Arminta Street and Troost Avenue, North Hollywood
LAPD units have responded to an earlier call for "shots fired" in the area near Cohasset Street and Tujunga Avenue in Sun Valley, but have not found any evidence that it occurred, and when the police call back the person who reported the incident, they get no answer.

Air 11 has been circling the sky above the shooting incident, when suddenly someone allegedly Air 11 comments over the radio: "This guy got us both real good."

Air 11 radios the ground units in their immediate area above Arminta Street and describes the person who shined the laser at the helicopter crew. He is a Hispanic male, wearing a brown shirt, and was seen running through a backyard and into a house that the airship is now spot-lighting from overhead.

The helicopter officer tells the ground officer, "There is one FBI agent in the Los Angeles area who handles these cases (shining lasers into aircraft). This is a federal offense."

10:04 p.m. 11300 block of Cohasset Street, Sun Valley
LAPD officers investigating the possible shooting on Cohasset Street have declared that they find "no evidence of a shooting," and are now assisting with the "green laser" incident.

10:05 p.m. 18400 block of Malden Street, Northridge
Report of assault with a deadly weapon/shooting. The first shooting suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 15 years old, shaved head, wearing a black shirt and pants, and the second suspect is described as wearing a black striped shirt. The weapon used was a blue-steel semi-automatic handgun.

10:07 p.m Arminta Street and Troost Avenue, North Hollywood
LAPD ground units are now at the house where the possible "laser-pointing" suspect ran to hide. The airship advises the patrol unit on scene that the person ran through the backyard and into the main house, not the garage space.

10:21 p.m. 12100 block of Buckeye Avenue, San Fernando
The dispatcher requests any Mission Division LAPD patrol unit to respond to a "code 3" incident.

10:25 p.m. 12000 block of Dehougne Street, North Hollywood
Report of "family dispute" at the apartment address. North Hollywood patrol unit requested to respond.

10:28 p.m. Arminta Street and Troost Avenue, North Hollywood
The ground units are asking for the house resident's to contain their dog that's in the backyard, so they can now investigate whether the "laser pointer" is hiding in their garage. They have not found him in the house or in the "bonus room," which Air 11 says looks to be an addition to the house.

10:31 p.m.
12500 block of Vanowen Street, North Hollywood
LAPD is requested to the scene of an "ambulance/woman with mental illness" call.

10:33 p.m.
Arminta Street and Troost Avenue, North Hollywood
Air 11 requests for the ground units to also inspect the "plywood that's leaning up against the building," near the bonus room.

10:40 p.m. Victory Boulevard and Woodley Avenue, Van Nuys
Report of a possible "shooting occurred" at the Woodley Flight Field. West Valley units are dispatched to the area. An Air unit is also requested.

10:41 p.m. Air 11 departs from over the Arminta Street location to assist with the Woodley Flight Field shooting incident.

10:43 p.m. 19500 block of Sherman Way, Reseda
Report of a "battery just occurred" at the residence.

10:44 p.m. Victory Boulevard and Woodley Avenue, Van Nuys
More information regarding the shooting: several shots were fired and the shooting suspects were last seen driving on Woodley Avenue toward Burbank Boulevard.

10:46 p.m. Arminta Street and Troost Avenue, North Hollywood
LAPD ground unit radios the dispatcher and advises, "all units, code 4 (no additional assistance, continue your patrol), suspect is in custody."
