Rapper Lil Za -- who was taken into custody Jan. 14 after Los Angeles County sheriff's investigators went to singer Justin Bieber's home to investigate an alleged egg-throwing incident -- is set to be arraigned next week on three felony counts.
The rapper, whose real name is Xavier Domonique Smith, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of damaging a prison or jail.
The drug charges allege possession of Oxycodone and Ecstasy.
The rapper was taken away in handcuffs and booked at the sheriff's Malibu/Lost Hills Station.
While awaiting release, Smith allegedly picked up a phone on the wall and smashed it, according to sheriff's Lt. Michael Williams.
Smith was released at 8:05 p.m. Jan. 14, according to the sheriff's department's Inmate Information Center website.
He is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Van Nuys Superior Court, according to a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.
Smith was described in broadcast reports as a close friend and house guest of Bieber.
About a dozen sheriff's investigators were involved in the search at Bieber's Calabasas home in connection with allegations that Bieber threw eggs at a neighbor's residence, which had an estimated $20,000 in damage.
